Veterans Day is fast approaching this coming November 11, and it offers us a day to honor and give thanks to America’s veterans of all wars.
Observed on World War I’s Armistice Day, the date was initially made a federal holiday in 1938 to honor The Great War’s veterans. But it was expanded in meaning and title in 1954 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower after the U.S. conflict with Korea.
In observance of the day, annually at 11 a.m. on 11/11, a Veterans Day National Ceremony is held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, including a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
TrueCoverage would like to thank all of America’s veterans, past and present, as well as their family members for supporting them back here at home. We are proud to offer affordable health insurance options to veterans past and present as well as to their families. And, for those approaching retirement age, we are delighted to present a wide variety of Medicare supplements and Medicare Advantage plans designed to fit anyone’s needs.
